Status of Residence : Specialist in Humanities
When a person works for a company as non-engineer, for example, as an accountant, the person can apply for "Specialist in Humanities / International Services."
Status of Residence "Specialist in Humanities / International Services" consists of two parts : "Specialist in Humanities" and "International Services." "Specialist in Humanities" can be granted to a person who majored in humanities in university or has 10 years or more of job experiences in the field of which the applicant will work. "International Services" can be granted to a person who provide international service such as an interpreter or a translator.
To be granted "Specialist in Humanities / International Services," you need to prove the connectedness between your major in college and a job you will do in a company. For example, when you will work in an account department and your major was accounting, then the connectedness will be proved easily. However, if your major was law, then, you need to prove the connectedness between your major and the job, logically with evidence.
Also, you need to prove the stability and sustainability of the company which you start to work for. Please ask the company for the evidence such as the certificate of company registration, a statement of profit & loss and a company brochure.
Finally, you need to prove the activity which you will do in a company is appropriate for the authorized activity by the Immigration Control Law. Also, you need to prove your activity satisfies the criteria prepared by the Ministry of Justice. The excerpt of the authorized activity and the criteria will be shown in the next section.
